Esha Deol believes in ghosts!

06th Sept 2007 20.30 IST By Aparajita Ghosh In this Friday’s release Darling , Esha Deol plays the ghost of a dead mistress of an adulterous man.Even as she plays a ghost on the silver screen, Esha Deol believes in the existence of ghosts. Apparently, this belief is not without a reason. Esha says she has had some unpleasant experiences that she cannot explain logically.
When Esha was shooting her first film Chura Liya Hai Tumne with Zayed Khan in Kerela, she had an experience she hasn’t forgotten till today. After the day’s shooting when Esha used to go to her room at night, she had a feeling during her sleep that someone was strangulating her.The shocking thing was that Esha was not the only one who felt that way. There were others in the shooting unit who had similar experience at that place.Even during the shooting of ‘Darling’, Esha used to get an eerie feeling after returning home. Those were the days when she had moved into her new house in Goregaon. Whenever Esha was alone in the house, she would get the feeling that someone was watching her. Before going to sleep, Esha used to carefully look under the bed and into the cupboards to make sure there was nobody else in the house.In Darling, Esha pairs with Fardeen Khan once again. Fardeen plays a married man and Esha plays his secretary with whom he has a secret affair. The secretary dies in one unfortunate incident but comes back as a ghost to haunt her boss. The film is directed by Ram Gopal Varma .
