Shahid-Kareena break-up : A publicity gimmick?

Is the news of break up between Shahid Kapur and Kareena Kapoor just a publicity gimmick before the release of their upcoming film Jab We Met .It is hard to believe that Shahid and Kareena have actually broken up and ended an affair that has lasted years and stood the test of time. The gossip mills say it was Kareena’s growing liking for her Tashan co-star Saif Ali Khan that caused the break-up.
Others believe this whole break-up episode may have been conjured up just to garner publicity before the release of Imtiaz Ali’s film ‘Jab We Met’, in which Shahid and Bebo play two strangers who gradually fall in love while traveling together.In fact, the friends of both stars are quoted as saying that they don’t believe Shahid and Kareena have split. Granted that they are presently working on different projects (Shahid on Aziz Mirza’s film in Toronto, and Kareena on ‘Tashan’ in India), sources say they are still very much in touch with each other.If indeed Kareena and Shahid are together, then why don’t they come out in the open to clarify the reports of their break-up?People in the industry believe their silence is a way of keeping the rumours alive and getting more print space in entertainment news in the coming days.One source says that it is possible that the whole break-up thing is just created by media and Shahid and Bebo are now using it to their advantage.Whatever the case, the truth can’t stay hidden for long. It still remains to be seen if ‘Jab We Met’ has actually marked the parting of the two lovers. If it has, then it would be very ironical.
